Tongue diagnosis is a simple way to interpret health and wellbeing. Today the tongue is examined by vets to establish the health of animals and no longer widely used by medical doctors.

Chinese medicine interprets what we see and relates this to ‘health syndromes’. From this an acupuncture and herbal formula will be proposed. Knowledge of this skill will add weight o your acupuncture portfolio - in particular how additional points can be used to add to the protocols learnt in our cosmetic facial acupuncture training.

We will particularly focus on the commonly known syndromes which impact on general health and how they affect skin and beauty.

We will cover:

• Tongue Anatomy Western Medical and TCM

• TCM Features and maps used in Tongue diagnosis

• TCM Syndromes - most commonly seen in respect of Beauty & skin issues

• Consultation process and templates/case study

• Case study examples and treatment guide using Microsystems Acupuncture protocols
